Center it with the sofa. The tall lamp will help balance out the pictures.

In my experience designing things its always better to center something in relation to the things immediately above or below it rather than to the palette (in this case the wall.)

center the sofa in the room, and then center the pictures on everything... looks like there's room for another end table at the other end.

sofa is better than wall, but if it were me i'd go further and center the sofa on the wall. that might not be an option for you, though.

don't forget to consider the direction of the images when you hang them. For example, a left facing profile should not go on the left end. Try to have the motion or direction in your art moved from the ends toward the middle.

I agree with others to center above sofa, but all 4 might be too much. Depending on the type of artwork, I'd be more inclined to go with 3.

sofa - but I actually agree with cscamp20 and have 2 rows of 2 - or with having 3. This looks like too many pictures for this wall.

By the way, where is your sofa from - I LOVE it!

Glad I sent this in, I had been leaning more towards centering it on the wall. My original fear with centering on sofa was that with the wall being so small it would look like a mistake and they would look off center.

I might need to rethink the sofa not being on center. There are a couple reasons why it's not that way to begin with. I was trying not to block the bedroom door (you can see it peeking out on the right) with my coffee table. When I get home tonight I am going to see what the sofa looks like centered. If not I will hang the pictures on center with sofa.

PS: The sofa is the Andre sofa from R&B, I love it. It was quite the quest to find just the right sofa and one that would fit into my apartment (the legs are removable).

Oh. Also another reason i did not want to add an additional side table is that my side table matches my coffee table. Adding yet another side table might be a little too "i bought this as a set". Perhaps I need to think about new side tables.

I have Andre too!!! I LOVE HIM!!!! It looks like you got the shorter version - such a striking sofa, and the pricetag ain't bad either!

I'm so happy to see that all of you design geniuses appreciate Andre the way I do. He's the best sofa I've ever owned.

One question for you, Louis: do people's butt prints show up an extra lot on your cushions? I've noticed that I end up fluffing/turning the cushions more often than I have done with other couches.

I do get the occasional butt print. I do have the shorter version, so I think it's not as obvious. I think the longer one you have would be more obvious because the cushions are longer. I have been thinking of going down to chinatown and finding a nice thick foam and replacing the inside of cushion with something with more support.
