Good Questions: Chairs of the Custom Hotel LA

I'll be staying at the Custom Hotel in Los Angeles (I know there have been several posts about the place). Just wondering if anyone could ID these rocking chairs or the bike seat stools. Thanks, Lauren

Hi Lauren, the metal rockers are Emeco Hudson Rocking Chairs and the wobbly bicycle themed stools are Sella Bicycle Seat Stools. Hope you enjoy your stay in the City of Angels...a great weekend of weather and design events await! Snap some photos from the Custom Hotel for us!

Ah, I did a presentation not too long ago about the designer of the first stool.

The stool in the top, the bicycle seat, is by renowned designer Achille Castiglioni, it is called the Sella bicycle stool and was made in 1957.

The design was inspired by the need to sit freely and comfortably while talking on the phone.

I believe the rocking chairs are by EMECO. I was looking at their site several weeks ago and saw them there.
