Dear Unplggd, we just moved into a new apartment where there used to be a fireplace in the living room, but they covered it up and blocked it with a large gas heater. Although we can't remove the heater, we thought maybe we could install a small fireplace in our bedroom instead. But we're scared about the installation process of something too large. Are there any affordable and easy to install fireplace options for renters like us? Thanks for your help, Angela.
A really affordable and easy fireplace solution are these new wall mountable indoor fireplace burns FireGlo gel fuel. They're very affordable and easy to install; you just hang them up like a framed piece of art! The fuel cans these fireplaces use provide light for about 2 hours and a 24 pack costs about $85 (or just use a candle for a more affordable option). No wires or expert installation needed. Here are four modern styles from Overstock.com, ranging in price from $177 to $259.
