I am a creative writer (and poet), as well as an hoarder with too many years of papers and such to file away. I need a filing cabinet, any recommendations? Thank you.
Filing cabinets are an awful necessity, and it is hard to make them fit into any room, even an office. We have four tips:
- If you buy a metal file, try to get a wide lateral one instead of the boxy two drawer kind, as the lateral ones are a better shape for tying into a room and will mean you don't have to buy another too soon.
- When buying metal files, don't go too cheap. Although they are expensive, you want one that will work nicely. Look at Bisley at The Container Store or HON here.
- Crate & Barrel makes very nice wood files
- Ikea makes an awesome rolling file for pennies
