ATLA reader, Alexis3, wrote us the other day about overhead lighting in her apartment. She specifically was asking about Pottery Barn's Sectional Architect Lamp.

Hi ATLA! Since I don't have ceiling lighting In my rental apartment, I'm looking for a floor lamp that can extend over my couch rather then up against the wall. I also don't want to feel like I have to crouch down every time I sit on the couch. I was in Pottery Barn the other day and saw the Sectional Architect floor lamp and it looks like it may do the trick since it's adjustable. Have any AT readers bought this lamp? If so, how are they liking it? It's a bit more then I'd like to spend at $299, but I would go for it if I read some good reviews. Thanks!!"

Personally, we are liking this lamp. We agree with Alexis3 that swing arm floor lamps or arch floor lamps can sometimes make the seating space feel cramped. Or if the lamp is set too high, it just seems off balance. The adjustable points on this particular lamp seem like a great solution to this common situation.

Does anyone have the Pottery Barn Sectional Architect floor lamp? If so, what's your review?

[Thanks, Alexis3!]
