Miamilori sent us an email: I recently acquired 6 original tulip chairs that need to be refinished. Before I lay out the money to do so, I'm searching for a table that is not a tulip table to pair them with. Too matchy, matchy for me. The only thing I've come across is the branch table at DWR.

Any suggestions? The opposite question has been addressed (tulip table, different chairs), but I can't find help on this one.
Please add your suggestions for a great table to go with Miamilori's tulip chairs to the comments below...

Better yet, why not pair them with a table that isn't from the same era as the chairs?
Perhaps an old wooden farm table from an antiques or resale shop? The money you might save on the table could offset the cost of refinishing the chairs.
I'm with you on the "too matchy, matchy" issue.
Good luck!

Regardless of what you go with, I think you are wise to look at darker wood-toned items like the branch table. I personally believe that dark wood and glossy white were born for each other.
The Tulip chair goes with almost with anything. The question is are you looking for round only, glass top only, is this for casual or more formal dining area and materials?
The one posted looks good with the chairs.
This table is pretty but only available in 39" dia

You could find a nice use wood table and have it refinished.
I saw an Eames table on the sidewalk a month ago, the wood top was in need of refinishing but someone got lucky.

i love that darn branch table. it's stunning.
DWR did a good job of pairing the tulip chairs with the branch table. The chairs are smooth and sinuous, the table is more earthy. Along that same lines, here are some suggestions:
