Good Questions: Tile For My Kitchen Backsplash?

Pin it button big

Hello AT,

I've gotten lots of inspiration from AT and now would love some opinions on tile for my new kitchen in my 680sq ft condo in Cambridge, MA.

The photo is of the model unit in the building where I am buying.

I will have the exact same kitchen, except I'll have polished concrete counters (a medium gray tint).

I need to choose tile for the backsplash--the entire area behind the sink and stove will be tiled...

The walls will be a very light gray.

This kitchen flows into the livingroom which has a sliding glass door at the end--this is the main source of natural light.

I'm looking at mixed glass mosaic tile and I cannot decide what would look best.

I don't want to box the kitchen in with something too dark, but I don't want to wash it out with something too light and plain. Any ideas?

I'm looking at tiles(see picture above) and have been focusing on mixes of light grays, dark grays and clear glass, but don't know if that's too bland.

Thanks! Jen
