I found a group of Jens Risom chairs on Craigslist, and the seller is willing to let me have 2 from a group of 8 for $100. They're from 1968, and while they're not part of his most popular early design work, I still like the shape. The wood is in good condition and does not need restoration, but the seat backs (caning?) need attention and the cushions need to be reupholstered. My question is, are they worth the investment and restoration efforts? I'd like to have them, but I'm not familiar with restoration/re-upholstery costs.
P.S. I'd likely tackle the re-upholstery myself.
