Good Questions: What & Where is This Desk Lamp From?

I recently spotted this task lamp in a picture on Blu Dot's website. While I like their stuff, I really like that lamp in the background and want to know more about it. I have done a little research but can't figure out where it's from.

Help me, Obi Wan AT. You're my only hope.

I can't tell what's on the base --is it some sort of figurine? Otherwise, it looks like a desk lamp West Elm had a few years ago (which I have, in the floor lamp version).

I agree with Birdy. The shade matches a lamp line West Elm came out with a few years ago. I have 2 in the wall-sconce version.
