Victor's looking for something similar to the chair on the left
Victor, whose living room we posted a few months ago, has found one chair to go with his couch (the image on the right), is back and looking for our help...
"A few months ago, you posted a picture of my living room and I got some great suggestions. I've been slowly making progress and found a great chair over in Silverlake (chair on the right). Now I'm considering this other chair to complete my living room (chair on the left). Love the style, the color of the cushions and that it picks up on the couch and the chair I already bought. What I don't love is the price! $2200 is a little...okay, a lot out of my price range. Can you help me locate something similar for maybe half the price? Or should I just go for broke?

What do you say readers? Can anyone help Victor locate a similarly styled chair?

Why not simply hit the fleamarkets and when you find one you like have it reupholstered the way you want?

Surely some of those retro shops in Long Beach have a similar style. Buttercup's might, but for a big price.
I'm with bepsf. Be patient and keep looking. It would probably be cheaper to refurbish an old chair.
You might want to send http://www.neeflouis.nl/ an email if they ship abroad.
you could recover the cushions of this one in different fabric,it shouldn't cost much .

flea markets, consignment shops... I've seen chairs like this frequently at markets. They usually just need a good reupholstery and they are always under $400
Buy it! If you love the look of something why not go for broke. I think it is better to buy one really nice chair than settle for something less only to replace it later.
something similar in teal

Wonderful look, I do have a pair of chairs from Denmark. In great condition. They do have the high back. Teak wood frame. I can let them go. I am down sizing the place. keithspirit@mac.com I might be able to help.
Here you go (thanks to another ATpost) -- a pair of them for only $600 -- and an interesting story to boot!
