"Together, the garden, the woods, the meadow and the distant land form a harmony of colors and shapes. There is always harmony in every season, at every hour of the day. The evening colors harmonize with the setting sun; the color of things fits in with the rising sun in the morning; shades and contours of everything adapt themselves to the winter, as a landscape in the snow or a snow-covered street. Always, down to the last detail, there is a harmonious whole." -J.H. Van den Berg

Wow--Picasso said that? That is fantastic! Makes me want to read more about him. But I give all the glory to God, the Creator of the universe. He made it, we just paint it.
Wow.
About a year ago, I relocated to Portland, OR from Springfield, IL. This picture is so beautiful it almost brings tears to my eyes.
It reminds me of home.
Ooops, Picasso didn't say it, sorry J.H. Van den Berg. Perhaps I need new bifocals ;^(
Where is the picture from. I miss Ohio.
Just because a famous dead person says someting doesn't make it true. Sorry Pablo, one *can* learn to paint. At some point, even he did. The point at which talent turns to arrogance is not a pretty place.
On the other hand, the place in this picture is beautiful and inspiring.
