Designer Amy Butler says,"...in today's increasingly globalized world, it's becoming more and more difficult to either hide from - or reinvent - mass consumer culture. Let's just say we Midwesterners choose what works, and only what works, and leave the rest behind. That's why we're the ultimate test market, and why merchants and marketers proclaim "if it doesn't play in the heartland, it won't play". I consider "Midwest" as an honest, approachable, easy style of personal vision."

I guess I'll be the first to ask...who makes that lounge chair? I'm assuming it's vintage.
that baby is a plycraft lounge chair- I have one in my living room :)
I love that lounge chair!
Looks like a great alternative to an Eames Lounge. Is it any cheaper?
i wanna know, too.
I searched on ebay for Plycraft and it came up with a few results for similar chairs.
I don't remember where I read this so that makes my comment maybe not so legit, but...
I believe it was her husbands fathers. They recovered it. Okay that really doesn''t help too much, but anyway, just had to say it.
The plycraft lounger isn't all that hard to find- it's the ottoman that nearly impossible ( I have heard) . I got mine at an auction for 6 dollars. I have seen them go for anywhere between 200 and 700 dollars. It's very comfortable.
