This weekend while watching the newest "Final Cut" of the Los Angeles neo-noir classic, we noted this comment about LA's housing market...in 2019...and chuckled. But then worried it might become true (though we wouldn't mind having the Bradbury Building to ourselves).
[Pris and Sebastian entering the Bradbury Building]
Pris: Do you live in this building all by yourself?
Sebastian: Yeah, I live here pretty much alone right now. No housing shortage around here. Plenty of room for everybody.

my boyfriend was one of the few people who worked on restoring Blade Runner and adding the new scenes!! it looks so awesome, everyone should go see it!
sorry....had to brag, im a very proud gf :)
You should be! It was a complete joy enjoying the masterpiece on the big screen!
I've seen Blade Runner on the big screen way too many times.... I love it to death but I'd love to see a new vision of the future from some new artist/filmaker.
Someone should do a vision of the future Los Angeles like Kubrick's 2001--a super clean utopia (with a revolting underbelly?). Do it 1960s/superfuture/mod-modern/barbarella style. AND have a housing shortage so we can imagine how they deal with tight spaces (like Tokyo).
Oh...not off topic but I was thinking of Blade Runner this morning when I donned a Victor & Rolf overcoat (not a trench) over my red shirt and tie. Call me Deckard.
