“The master bedroom is just the beginning of the problems. There is no master in the bedroom. She starts to give you things, "This is your closet." You'll act like a stranger and thank her.”
This quote is so funny because it is SO true and I just never thought about it before. When we moved into our current rental I'm certain that I told me husband "This top shelf in the closet and hanging rod are yours, this shelf, this rod and this part of the closet is for me." He just nodded and agreed. In our last rental, where we had the luxury of a second bedroom which we used as a home office, I took the closet in the master bedroom and told him he could put his clothes in the closet in the spare room. He just nodded and agreed.
I've been married for nearly forty years I've never treated my husband like this. This attitude to another person, even if he is ONLY your life partner, is wrong.
