If a home treasures comfort along with style, you can bet there will be a spot that features three elements perfect for a rainy afternoon or lazy Sunday: a good seat, a good light and a good book.

Of course feel free to replace the word "book" with magazine, iPad, or anything else that strikes your fancy, but the sentiment is still the same. Sometimes you just need a little tucked away chair or comfy corner of a couch to retreat with your thoughts and relax a bit, and you usually need a good light to do it by. Glancing through recent Apartment Therapy house tours and seeing how many examples of a good seat and good light combination we spotted, it's clear we're not the only ones who treasure this pair. Some ideas for your own home:

Top Row:
1) Elizabeth's Colorful and Adventurous House
2) Howard Bragman's Contemporary Laurel Canyon Home
3) Alexis Johnson's Polished California Condo
4) Stefanie & Mike's Heavenly Hollywoodland Home
5) Hallie & Mark's Hip Slice of History

Bottom Row:
6) Hallie & Mark's Hip Slice of History
7) Barry's Antique-Filled Doheny Hills Home
8) Andrew & John's Vintage Berwyn Bungalow

10) Mark & Lisa's Rustic Northwestern Home

Do you have a spot in your house that has a good seat and good light combo that you read/iPad at? Let us know!
