According to a Pew Research poll from 2008, 73 percent of Americans use the Internet at home. This means that most of us have integrated computers, laptops, and mobile devices into our home life by now and, if you're anything like us, you might struggle with the best way to make technology work with the aesthetics of your space (a problem that Unplggd tackles daily). Here are some good resources to start with.

Plugging in your computer is a good place to start.
#3.Warm/Modern- I love this idea of two combined work spaces for more streamlining. I kind of just want it all as mine- to suit what I'm doing and keep them separate in a dream office that's not tiny. One for more just screwing around online, and the other for more serious, grad school researching and paper writing.
#10 - anyone know the make of that iPod dock? That's exactly what I'm looking for
#10. Love the ipod dock, but I love the white modern rocker in the background even more - can anyone id the chair/brand/designer?
I just moved my son and his girlfriend, a student starting a 5 year phd program, to a 2 bedroom apartment near DC. The second bedroom is a combined office/guest room. We ended up getting two IKEA dining tables to put next to one another along one long wall, one his, one hers and a window is in between. The tables are frosted glass with chrome legs, very stylish and about 30" or so front to back, nice and deep. Although they are starving young people, I convinced them to seek style as well as function. Two big white glass light fixtures hang from the ceiling. A bright orange rug and artwork is the next installation. They are thrilled, as function was much farther up on their list than style. Now they have both.
