Good Tip: Use a Soda Crate for Arts & Crafts Organization

Home Design Love

Since weeding out broken and used-up art supplies on Day 3 of the 7-Day Toy Cure I have a smaller, more appealing collection but I'm still looking for great ideas to organize it. I've been using small shoe boxes which only contributed to the jumble, but this soda crate idea has me intrigued.

I saw this on the blog Home Design Love and the author, CJ, referred to it as "Texas chic" - chic enough for me! The only downside I can see is that it may not fit in the cabinet where I currently keep our art supplies, but if you have a kids' desk or table, this might be ideal for you. CJ got hers at the Dr Pepper Museum in Waco, Texas. If you can't get down to Waco, I've spotted them often at flea markets and there are plenty in Etsy's vintage section (there are currently 153 listed starting at $8.95).
