Eclectic to say the least.Just for fun, we're letting Google loose as our decorator and seeing what kind of room it comes up with...kind of the Ouija Board of interior design.
Our first experiment - to put together the Most Beautiful Room. We started by asking Google for the Most Beautiful Sofa. What we got is to the left, from Anthropologie. Not a bad start.
Next, we asked for the Most Beautiful Chair to go along with it. Hmmm, interesting, these Swans with Tord Boontje upholstery. But then, things take a turn as we requested the all-knowing Google Decorator's choice for the Most Beautiful Rug...

...and we ended up with this leopard patterned number.

Rallying a bit by a quick follow up with Google's choice for the Most Beautiful Lamp - Ostrich Feathers!

And, ending on a more traditional note with the Most Beautiful Coffee Table, according to Google, of course: this Birdseye Maple and Cocobola table from Vermont Woods Studios.
Who knew that the Google Decorator would be so flamboyant? The resulting Most Beautiful Room is really quite Vegas. Definitely wacky, but honestly we were expecting worse - since beauty IS in the eye of the beholder...
Our favorite from this round of the Google Decorator's picks...the Swan Chairs take the prize. The dud? We'd have to go for the rug.

Seriously, a tiger skin rug would have been sooo much better. Leopard is so passe'.
That couch and that rug together would be enough to drive someone into insanity.
This is the funniest thing I've seen today.
What a great idea! Who knew google was good for decorating...
Posts like this are why I love AT. You guys are hilarious!
this is interesting. i'm actually a google quality rater (i'm not allowed to say exactly what i do for legal reasons, but i get to look at queries like this all day long). i'm not sure why they're programmed to have such.....colorful taste.
hooray for google! i dig the futuristic-Liberace-ness of it all.
Haha, such an awesome idea Janel. Post of the day!
fun activity for the day!!!!!

I really dig the ostrich feather lamp!!!
ROTFL! What a great idea!
I like the lamp except for the dust factor. I'm sure you'd have to dust it all the time. That is, if you didn't decide to dust *with* it.
A room made up of these elements would please only the most schizophrenic of drag queens.
This is such a smart and fun idea! Good work, Janel!
Best. Use. Of. Google. EVER.
What a fun post - Thanks for the laugh Janel
As cool as this post is, hasn't this been done before?
Oh, duh. It says re-edited at the bottom.
"best _____ ever" had me laughing... you've got to see the couch and lamp.

Leopard (faux of course!) is never passe. It is art deco and thus timeless.
I agree!
I didn't mean I agreed with the leopard being timeless, I agree it was the dud. Sorry, I didn't see the above comment.
