Over at Brownstoner on Friday, it was interesting to see this photo of a Google Streetview camera driving through the city's streets. We've seen some cool things done with Google Streetview in the past and we find ourselves using it more and more...

It's a great tool for getting a feel for a neighborhood, checking out far-away streetscapes, or checking out the "view" from particular homes. One Brownstoner reader shared this report of an upscale English neighborhood that chased away the camera truck when it tried to capture their homes' facades. They feared pictures of their pricey streetscape online would attract would-be burglars. How have you put Google Streetviews to use? Do you like the fact that your apartment is available for all to see or do you find it uncomfortable? Via: Brownstoner
