Ah, lifestyle gurus. First there was Martha or, more accurately, Martha Stuart Living Omnimedia. Then came Oprah with her Harpo Productions. Now comes Gwyneth... Actually it's Goop (which we assume is some combination of Ms. Paltrow's initials and the word good). The contents are still a work-in-progress. It now only includes a newsletter sign-up; six yet-to-be-filled in categories: Make,Go, Get, Do, Be, See; and, a letter from its founder. In the letter, she promises advice on "a little bit of everything that makes up my life."
We know she has impeccable taste (witness the Tord Boontje Blossom chandelier that she has hanging over her dining room table in her Hamptons home, profiled in one of the last issues of House & Garden, and shown above); the question is, will it be so aspirational as to be out of reach? (That chandelier, which is at the very top of our wish list, retails for $37,500 at Moss). What do you think? Has anyone seen her cooking and travel show with Mario Batali on PBS?
