Oftentimes when people splurge on wallpaper, they want it to have the maximum amount of impact in a space. We're used to seeing lots of colorful papers with foil and glitter and shine, but it's an entirely different thing to appreciate what a gray wallpaper can do for a room.
Gray papers lend a cool and serene vibe to a wall, and their excitement factor can be upped by the amount of contrast present on the scale from white to black. But no matter how busy the pattern, gray feels modern, elegant, and relaxed at the same time. It can work as a neutral, allowing other selections to pop, or it can act as the main source of color in a design scheme.
These are some of our favorite examples of just how gorgeous gray wallpapers can be.

What's with all the wallpaper posts recently?
It's Wallpaper Week at AT.
1, 3, 7, and 9 are just gorgeous; would love to have anywhere in my apt.
I had to be talked down from the ledge the first time I saw that Joyceln Warner Flora paper... Gasp...
Where could I buy the Jocelyn Warner Treetops wallpaper in the US? I don't need much of it, just enough to put in 3 large (24" x 48") frames for wall art.
