You hear that whooshing sound? That's the sound of apartment dwellers all over the country pumping their fists in the air. Brasa's portable, ventless fireplaces run on denatured alcohol, otherwise known as bioethanol. No vents or installation are required, and the flame is regulated and can be controlled or extinguished at any time. There are 7 styles available, but my favorite was the one you see above: a stainless steel slim burner insert with a ceramic surround.
Denatured alcohol fuel (also known as Bioethanol) is a wholly renewable source of energy that is made from agricultural products such as sugar, potatoes, beetroot, and corn. The only emissions produced from burning bioethanol are heat, water vapor (steam), and low levels of carbon dioxide (CO2).
Brasa slim burner products produce about 9,800 BTU of heat, while the wide burner products produce about 12,650 units of heat—all of which is emitted directly into the room, giving 100% heating efficiency.
