Here's some DIY inspiration for the weekend: a second look at two Rhode Island homes we've toured, both featuring beautifully stenciled wall patterns. While we used to think of stencils as being too quaint for our taste, we're won over by the growing number of creative and contemporary examples that we've seen lately, these included.
Artist Jen French created many of her own stencils to decorate the walls of her bungalow (Images 1-3 and 6-7). She also incorporated hand painted elements as well as store bought stamps and stencils. Chris & Hannah Garrison were lucky enough to find their spectacular loft with the stencils already in place (Images 4,5,8,9).

I really like this. And really love the paint colour in #1. Looks gorgeous.
I think one with an octopus would be cool. Tentacles undulating, suction cups, so on and so forth. Don't that sound nice?
So lovely! What paint and grey color did you use in your home?
