With so many Earth Day issues on the stands, year-round green publication Plenty searched a few magazines for editorial greenwashing. Their random sampling includes Vanity Fair, Newsweek, Elle, National Geographic Adventure, Billboard, and Pregnancy & Newborn. Can you guess which one scored the highest grade?
National Geographic Adventure won with a B+, closely followed by Pregnancy and Newborn with a B. No big surprise there. We think National Geographic does a really good job with their Green Guides. The low-scorer was Newsweek with a D-, although highs and lows are listed for each publication. The survey's pretty subjective, but it gives a good overview of what editors are doing right and what we in the media are missing.
