Graffiti is big in DC - we've been seeing graffiti furniture, exhibitions, and murals. The Graffiti Lamp by D.E.C.A.F. is inspired by the graffiti making process. The lamp brings the artist's work, usually done in the dark shadows of the city, into the home. The idea is to shed light on graffiti and connect the home with the city...

The Graffiti Lamp by D.E.C.A.F. is available for 3,000 pounds through 100% Design.

I love the concept of this lamp! I have always had a certain affinity for graffiti. On a particular trip to New York I spent a whole day walking around Harlem and other areas photographing some of the graffiti which was truly amazing artwork! I think inviting graffiti into the home ads a personal touch and is especially ironic since tagging is a territorial marker. I live in urban Miami and I am contemplating having my balcony tagged...
its a cool idea. cool design concept..
but a little.. uh.. obvious/stupid since the tag says "lamp".
if it didnt say LAMP, it would be way better.
