Color Inspiration: I discussed nursery ideas with some friends one evening, and I got the turquoise and white idea from them. I also wanted some sort of woodland theme; we live in Michigan and I hoped to reflect that somehow. Instead of using typical "foresty" colors, however, I just went for it. I was hooked as soon as I put the first stroke of the teal paint sample on the wall!

Tip for Using Color: Have fun with it! There's no requirement that nurseries have to be pastel. Also, make sure that the color you choose won't clash with the things that you DON'T want to change. For example, I didn't want to paint our wood trim, and we have beautiful hardwood floors that I didn't want to carpet over. Certain colors would have clashed, so I needed a bold color that would contrast nicely with what was already there.

Colors Used: Benjamin Moore "Surf Blue" (walls) and Benjamin Moore "Seaside Blue" (ceiling)

Thanks for your colorful entry Shanon and good luck!
