Q: I have been on the hunt for quite some time now for a nice black and white grahic printed area rug to cover my living room floor. As my luck would have it, I always seem to just miss the good ones, i.e., the Ikea Alvine Triangle Carpet. I have looked at Quasimodo (too expensive), Urban Outfitters (close — but too thin), Ikea (striped carpet — not patterned, others are too big), Design within Reach (none). Does anyone know of any places in Toronto that would sell something like this or something with a repetitive black and white pattern (8' x 5')? I am open to buying online should they be reputatable.

You might have some luck hitting the HomeSense stores, as they usually have a wall of rugs that change relatively often. Depending on your budget, you could head over to King East where there are lots of trendy furniture stores that will be cheaper than QuasiModo but more expensive than HomeSense.

I am positive Elte would have what you're looking for, but probably out of budget. West Elm has a nice zig zag and kilim rugs in black & white. They may me more budget friendly.

Just to warn you most of the west elm rugs are actually navy (I have been on the same hunt here in the states and bought the West Elm Kite rug, while its great it was not black and white as it appeared in the photo). So be careful when buying online and make sure it posts somewhere in the color that it is in fact black.

FAB (.com) has a new selection of rugs on sale (30% off) almost daily. And such beautiful ones... Although sometimes they are "designer," so although lovely they can run a bit expensive. Good luck!
The rug from the image was included by apartment therapy and I would imagine added for reference. I have also been looking at West Elm rugs- the Kilm rug in particular. So really, anything that would ressemble the Kilm rug or the discontinued Alvine Triangle rug (Ikea) would be what I'm looking at. Has anyone ordered from Allmodern- specifically international shipping?

Unfortunately, any rug from West Elm is not avail. for international shipping. But I suppose an option would be to drive down and pick up.
