If you're into recycled, Great Green Goods
is a new source blogging artistic, crafted goods with an especially sharp eye for products that are at once clever and beautiful. There's lots of good gift material here, much of it handcrafted. (Horrifyingly, we got our first Christmas catalog this week, so we've got giving in mind.)
We're looking forward to lots of upcoming posts, but here are four things Great Green Goods blogged that really caught our eye.
Rain barrels recycled from Jack Daniels industrial waste: about $200-$250.
Cashmere blankets handpieced from cast-off sweaters: $350-$900.
Recycled switchplates are probably not going to save the earth, but these are more likely to start a conversation about conservation than the standard beige plastic.
“Crartist” (craft + artist) Mira Woodworth (she blogs, too!) makes beautiful fused vessels using recycled glass.
