I think Elsie Flannigan loves Fall just as much as I do! The young entrepreneur has been busy setting up her new vintage shop in Springfield, Missouri, and recently installed this cozy terrarium display behind the cash-wrap area. Although her display is in a retail store, I think this is a great idea that can be used to seasonally decorate a home as well.
You can make your own display just like Elsie's by using old jars filled with moss or copies of your favorite vintage photos. Intersperse votive candles with the jars to add that touch of Autumn warmth. Such an arrangement would be nice for decorating a fireplace mantle, coffee table, or shelf in your own home.
If you like this idea, check out Elsie's blog A Beautiful Mess. She and her crafty friends are often dreaming up fun ideas for decor, dressing, and crafting. She also has an online shop, Red Velvet Art, full of vintage and handmade goods.

White Enamel Four-P...
Looks like the local medical marijuana store.
Love this arrangement with the candles... so cozy and personal!
This trend is everywhere, on the web, on TV, in magazines. Dunno . . . I'm not big on displaying photos in a jar. It has a religious connotation to me. Reminds me of praying to saints or other "saint-work."
I think it's fantastic. A really creative way to use those jars and display the photos. I don't think it seems very religious, personally.
Denver: Ditto.
I have those picture jars in my home but I've placed the jars upside down so as not to gather dust so much.
I want to like the idea, but it just looks like you're keeping your loved ones in jars.
Oh my gosh, I was JUST looking at supplies to do a terrarium for my mantle. So timely, these are so sweet!
