Great art work can make a room but when looking for something to hang on the walls, look beyond 2D paintings and photographs. A family heirloom or vintage toy can also look terrific adhered to the wall.
So how to affix such three dimensional objects securely to the wall? Velcro of course! Not only is there no mess, it allows you to easily change out your display. This particular wall vignette is in Kelle Hampton's daughter Lainey's bedroom and is just as pleasing as artwork you might hang.

Shaw's Original Fir...
We used velcro to mount a mirror on the sloped wall above our twins' crib. It worked great but it did rip the paper off of the drywall when they moved into a bigger room.
Try the Command picture hanging strips -- they're velcro-style but they won't ruin your walls! I used them in college to hang tons of stuff from my walls and even ceiling and nothing ever fell down.
Mind. Blown.
Lol totally agree with Queenofthefall! Completely ingenious! I'm going to Velcro my whole house....
Yep, I second the recommendation for the Command picture hanging strips. The heavier the item, the more strips you use. Very secure.
Now I need the Command hanging strips!!!
