Wouldn't it be great to buy zero-VOC paint, natural cleaning products and recycled-content countertops all in one place? Stores dedicated to green living and sustainable building products might seem few and far between, but all of that may be starting to change.

Just last week, Green Depot (based out of NYC and with locations along the East Coast) announced that they have acquired Ecohaus and its three locations in Seattle, Portland and San Francisco. In addition to an expanded product line, the new team has plans to continue its partnership with American manufacturers to create high quality "American made" products, providing more opportunities for green job creation, education and sustainable product development. Sarah Beatty, founder of Green Depot states, "By joining forces with Ecohaus, Green Depot is strongly positioned for continued growth throughout America. We're delighted to combine resources and work together to achieve our shared vision for a diverse, sophisticated Green supply chain—and a sustainably thriving America." Maybe there's a Green Depot in your city's future?
