You saved the date and now it's here! The Green Festival this weekend has a "Green Home/Green Building Pavilion" featuring exhibitors and speakers aimed at educating and inspiring us to make our living spaces more eco-conscious. We hope to visit the fest this weekend and have been looking for "don't miss" events and exhibitors...

Speaker Standouts:

Ori Sivan of the environmentally friendly materials shop, Greenmaker Supply, will speak at 2pm both days.

Anne Evans and Anthony Star from the Center for Neighborhood Technology present the Energy-Smart Pricing Plan, a pilot program for real time energy pricing on Saturday at 5pm.

Pete Realmuto of Pacifica Furniture discusses sustainable furniture - the materials, price and health issues involved on Saturday at 60m.

Exhibitors we'll be checking out in the Natural Home and Garden section range from eco-retailers (Healthy Green Goods, New Leaf Interiors) to furniture designers (Pacifica, loll Designs) and products from cleaning goods (Mountain Green) to gardening supplies (Ecogardens).

The Green Festival takes place this Saturday (10-8) and Sunday (11-6) at McCormick Place. Admission prices range from $5-$19 and kids are free.
