Some products come with built-in benefits, but sometimes the best surprises are those that you aren't expecting. This glue will not only hold your house together but it also dampens sound, making it an interesting new alternative to hit the market.
Green Glue is water based, non-toxic and non-carcinogenic, and formulated without formaldehyde. It's sold in tubes and buckets alike (you can view their price points here) and when applied between two thin sheets of material it absorbs a sound wave and releases it back out as heat. Cool, right? Although it's a little pricey and some might say just for extreme audiophiles, we're thinking it could actually be a great green product to make certain spaces *ahem* a little more private as it can provide a 95% reduction in noise!
Their website has much more information, so make sure to check it out if you have further questions. If you don't have neighbors, maybe you just want to rock out with the dial turned up or bust out drums!

White Enamel Flatwa...
In order to continue to make the payments on our home, we need to rent out the apartment in the basement. I have been reluctant to do so because of the noise issue. This article is exactly what I needed!
Thanks!
We used Green Glue in the hopes that we could drown out a family of brontosauruses... It didn't work as well as we had hoped. We ended up using Roxul "Safe n Sound" insulation instead. It seemed to work better...
