Extra produce from the garden? Consider giving it as a gift. We recently loaned our friends some garden tools and came home yesterday to find this lovely bunch of onions, wrapped loosely in twine, lying on our stoop as a thank you. Knowing that they grew these in their yard made them special and reminded us how nice home grown gifts from the garden can be.
Consider giving a basket of tomatoes, a bunch of herbs tied with a bow, or if you have a bunch of extra fruit, consider canning it and saving it to gift later on in the year. Gifts from the garden contain all that hard work you put into growing the plants, along with being a healthy, local and nutritious gift that anyone can appreciate.
