In Finland, old mobile phones lead to the World Championships of mobile phone throwing. Not really the right way to get rid of your old gadgets, although we wish we could toss our phone as far as possible every now and again, so it is nice to see another option for responsibly disposing of obsolete gadgets. An online outfit, gazzle.com will recycle cell phones, MP3 players, digital cameras, GPS devices, laptops, camcorders, gaming consoles, satellite radios, and portable hard drives. Here's how it works:

- Click the features and accessories that are relevant
- Find out if your gadgets are worth any money. Even if they aren't, Gazelle will send you a postage paid box and take it for recycling
- Send off your gadgets in the postage paid box and wait for your check.
Gazelle has only been around since July of 2007 and has since resold, recycled or refurbished approximately 5 tons of consumer electronics. We are all for anything that keeps electronics out of the landfill, and getting money for it doesn't hurt either.
