Green Ideas: Mod Green Pod

Sustainability without sacrificing style. That's what moms and co-founders Nancy Mims and Lisa Mims were striving for when they began Mod Green Pod.

Their fabrics and wallpapers are pretty and environmentally friendly- 100% organic cotton for the fabrics and clean, vinyl-free finish for the wallpaper. They also use a water-based printing process and water based inks. The cotton canvas fabric is actually hand silk-screened by artisans up in New England with no harmful chemicals used at any point in the process.

We love the patterns and they'd work great in any nursery. Grand Jubilee, one of our personal favorites, is described as "a large-scale, modern interpretation of a damask." Butterfly Jubilee-shown here- is another vibrant choice. There's a good range of colors and prints, and they'll even do a custom order with a minimum. Contact them here for orders, or find a location here.
