Green Mini-Escape: Neighborhood Exploration

Green Mini-Escape: Neighborhood Exploration

A favorite street to run along – it's lined with beautiful Landmarked houses

With a busy work schedule, we haven't had much time to take much of a summer vacation. So instead, we've been taking a daily mini-escape – running through the neighborhood…

With the warming of the weather, running outside is such a pleasure. By adjusting the route by a block or two on each run we're able to get a peak of a different corner or street we wouldn't typically see. We've caught up on new buildings being constructed, ogled some of the best historic housing in the city, and have been invigorated passing by a pocket park. The only energy that's expended is our own, which is a good thing.

Have you been taking any mini-escapes? Biking or walking through your own neighborhood, window-shopping, taking the long way on a bus or train, and spending time in a local park are all great green ways to start!
