Name: Courtney's Son (3.5)
Location: Ladera Beach, CA
This has been one of our very favorite spaces to make over. The originally nursery was gender neutral with a red and tan color scheme. Our son is vibrant and energetic and I knew the green and navy blue colors would pop against the white.
What is most special to us is that almost every part of the room holds special meaning. The gallery wall boasts meaningful quotes as well as our son's artwork. The toy closet holds handmade wooden trucks handcrafted by our late Great Grandfather. The bookshelves were mine when I was a little girl. The blue canvases were a simple DIY project. Our son's favorite part of the room is the reading nook. He likes to read at night under the outdoor light we attached to the Expedit bookshelf. The entire room was a labor of love.
Paint colors: Clear Moon by Behr (white) and Windsurf by Behr (blue)

This room makes me smile! Great job mom!
What a happy, bright room!
Did you paint the green dresser, if so would you please share the color?
This is such a great room. How the heck did you attach a light fixture to a BOOKSHELVE and make it work? I don't see extension cords. BRILLIANT but please tell me how as I would like to do something like that for my very small office space at home.
I went to her homepage and saw how they attached the light fixture. Easy, brilliant. Thanks.
I love this color scheme!
