Right now we're eyeball-deep in studying for the LEED AP exam and have come across a ton of good sources for green living in the process.

One such resource is the Green Seal standard, which certifies products, from household cleaners to paper goods, with reduced impact on the environment and human health...

"Green Seal certifies everything from coffee filters to air chillers. Our seal appears on products found in stores such as Office Depot, Whole Foods, and Lowe's Home Improvement stores."

Look here for a list of Green Seal-certified products and their retailers. And as advised by the organization, "If you can't find Green Seal-certified products near you, ask the store manager to stock them for you. Listening to consumer demand is the only way [retailers will] stay in business."
