We spotted these bright furnishings from the Pfeifer Studio and couldn't take our eyes off them. These simple beauties are made in New Mexico from locally-harvested pine, and then coated with a 100% natural finish. But best of all....
...the eco-friendliness doesn't stop there. These mutli-purpose tables/stools are dried in a solar-powered kiln and painted with VOC-free milk paint. According to the Pfeifer Studio site, the paint is made with the "same basic ingredients used during the Colonial era—milk protein, lime, and earthly pigments."
How great would these look in a breakfast area, or as side tables and extra seating in the living room?

Dude! We need to make some Ike stools from all the trees down around Houston and give the proceeds to the Red Cross. The waste of all this wood is making me ill.
I've been scouting out some log sections around my complex (to be used as scratching posts, with the bark on, on my balcony), but have yet to find one to my liking that I can easily make off with.
I like the fact they're all slightly different heights; not only is this pleasing to the eye, but might be good for those of us who are shorter or taller too!
