
Have you visited any historical museums with actors playing the part of folks living in a different time? They may be a little hokey, but they sure provide fabulous design inspiration. This room, composed largely of furniture from the early 1800's era, is a part of Conner Prairie, just outside Indianapolis, Indiana. It looks so relevant and contemporary. See another photo below:

Ha! Conner Prairie - oh, the memories. I think my 3rd grade class visited and I remember it being AWESOME.

They are so not hokey pokey. They are art. And for those of us who are short they are the perfect height and size.As in, my feet touch the floor. I disappear in Pottery Barn Chairs. Too sad. I'm for sizing furniture regular and petite.
Interesting. We can learn a lot about sustainability from old-time living. Just no bonnets, please. :)
