I could be wrong, but it looks like that wire catch-all piece is actually made from a vintage spring bed frame. Propped up against a wall, it functions perfectly as a hanger and inspiration board.

Wow, I did this years ago with part of an old metal bunk bed set. The top bunk's platform looked similar to this. I propped it up behind my desk and stuck stuff to it with magnets. Everyone in my family made fun of me for doing it (and keeping it there for years, even through part of college), and now it's on an AT site.
