We came across this incredible Before & After on the blog Hashai, and it seemed like an amazing example of how you can completely transform a room with a few changes without spending a lot of money or buying all new things. Even though the owner painted the room a dark green (gives a new meaning to "green style"), the room is so much lighter and brighter due to removing the curtains, rearranging the furniture, and adding a few bright accents. Amazing!

I love this room, but I don't quite understand how sheepskin and antlers are "green."
Both before and after are lovely... and the new view is awesome...
though I know antlers are often shed seasonally, personally, I don't really dig animal parts kickin' around my home and especially above my bed.
Male moose, elk and deer grow antlers every year, therefore those that are 'shed' by the animal can prove to be very interesting design elements when used creatively. I think this room is magnificent~! Excellent job!
AB Chao is brilliant and I've already pledged her my troth:

What a delicious makeover!
i like the original room better. more organic and very soothing.
It looks really nice with the dark walls and bright accents. I think the sheepskin and antlers are "green" if they were not purchased for the makeover, i.e. they were something that the person already had.
I like certain design elements in the makeover, particularly the table at the end of the bed (love that), but I'm in agreement with beevee. Interesting makeover, but I think the original is more to my taste.
Fabulous makeover...looks so warm and inviting!!!
I too thought the 'before' was ok. Maybe not my furniture choice but a good blank canvas. Three things I don't like about the 'after'. I like to lie in bed and look out the windows but this is a bit difficult now. I don't like to get brain-freeze headaches from the cold windows in the winter. Feng shui says you shouldn't lie with your feet pointing toward the door.
I do agree that all the elements are right: the furniture placement, the dark color of the walls and the window treatments exposing the large windows all help to make the room look airy and larger. But for crying out loud, that room is still awful!
