The Greenhouse by Joost, located in Melbourne, Australia, was made completely of straw bales set into a 100% recyclable steel framework, chairs and tables made out of shipping crates, and a strawberry wall (you can see it in the back of the top picture). The Spring to Summer exhibition (it's now over) hoped to "instruct a city on how simple and straightforward sustainability practice can be if each individual gives a thought to the life-cycle of the things they consume."

Joost was great while it was here over Summer. The bar was constructed around an under-utilized portion of Federation Square and saw a real diverse mixture of students, fashionistas and corporate suits all enjoying the surroundings. I love that Melbournians embrace these temporary bars (like The Pond the previous year) which not only provide an interesting place to drink, but also highlight environmental and reduce/reuse/recycle philosophies.
