Jay Shafer is the founder of the Tumbleweed Tiny House Company. The 89-square-foot Epu is the house that Jay himself lives in. This is a view from the loft down into the compact kitchen. Remarkably, the home features a desk and fireplace in the main room, a kitchen, wet bath, and a loft upstairs...

I assume he had to let the home vent after each meal to avoid the heat trapped in the loft. Hmmm..... Love the smell of fish on my pillow in the morning.
Beautiful! I love the Tumbleweed houses! Such creative use of space... we could all learn a few things from this.

These small homes are difficult to zone, finance, insure and sell.
Lofts are impractical with age or injury.
They waste a lot of space with shelving, cupboards, desks and tables.
