This charming and impeccably styled boathouse belongs to Jessica Nixon, owner of the Australian interior design consulting firm Okologi which specializes in sustainable residential interiors. This completely self-contained little house sits on the bank of the Yarra River. Her front door opens into the living room, but you can only access the kitchen and bathroom through a little trap door (see photo 5). In case we ever forget, it's great compact spaces like this that remind us why small homes rule.
