Dutch designer Lotty Lindeman will present her collection of suitcases-cum-cupboards at Design Miami next month. The multifunctional collection, called Tassenkast, consists of several handmade suitcases and bags. The idea is that the pieces function as cupboards while at home (they're hung from a wooden bar using fabric straps with fastenings that match those on the bags), but can be used individually as a handbag or suitcase when traveling. What do you think?

these are really nice-looking, and i like the idea (though it'd probably be impractical for a lot of people). probably a bit "greener" to do this with repurposed old suitcases?
I'm usually all in favour of recycling or multi-purpose projects, but in this case I say no thanks. To have dirty travel luggage that looked nice only before using it the first time on display like that? Not in my home, although that photo is really nice.
