The current window display at the Anthropologie in downtown Portland is just lovely. Made entirely with a few boxes of found slides, the visual impact is colorful and creative. The display team for this shop is constantly pushing the boundaries between merchandising, materials and DIY inspiration.

I did this with found slides once, it looked beautiful, everyone loved it but I have to say if you're going to do this, use slides that aren't precious. They will fade very quickly from sun exposure. I accidentally wrecked a lot of really great slides.
I did this for my kitchen window that looks out to our porch that is in not so viewable condition. I hope with the shade of the porch the slides will last a bit longer.
