In my work photographing homes and kitchens, I see a range of appliances and brands. The one oven/range that folks unanimously rave about is their old-fashioned Wedgewood Stoves. These were built to last! This aqua and cream number is the prettiest I've seen. It was saved from a grandmother's house and has been used for almost 100 years straight!

Wow, that is gorgeous!
it's a beauty. I'd love to know what all of those compartments do. Obviously the biggest one is the oven, but what about the others? Love those knobs!
I would love to see more of this house. The stove is beautiful, and I also appreciate the whimsical touches of the owner, such as the snake beneath.
Gasp! I love this.
lhoelle - I'm pretty sure this shot was from a kitchen tour, I remember the stove & the snake.
yes, this image was from a kitchen tour i did a few months back, just search for "penelope's kitchen" and it should come up - her kitchen is really lovely!
@Ihoelle - my grandmother had a stove like this waaay back when. if i recall correctly, the big compartment below the stove top was indeed the oven, the two smaller ones to the right are also oven compartments, tho one is likely a broiler section. the larger part in the middle is a warming section and the roll-top part above that was storage.
maybe different stoves/manufacturers are different, but that's what i remember.
Thanks everyone!
