This passive solar house overlooking the Sea of Japan is built not just for a couple and their twin children, but for all the neighborhood children. The exterior is actually a 2-story staircase and lounge that can be used as a place for children to play. The interior consists of radiant floor heating, a wood stove, strategically placed windows and air vents, bookcases, cubbies, and open rooms that are illuminated by the constantly changing light that filters through the overhead windows.
